AWNfarm 3.0.7

The AWNfarm weather application provides tailored weather data and forecasts that are specific to individual sites and crops, serving as a valuable resource for agricultural decision-making. Developed by Washington State University AgWeatherNet (AWN), this service primarily targets agricultural producers in Washington, Oregon, and Idaho who operate near AWN monitoring stations.

This mobile application is designed to complement a web application available at awnfarm.org. Users can configure their organizations and associated personnel via the web interface, allowing the mobile app to facilitate on-the-go access to relevant weather data and decision support for each managed site and unit.

• The initial release in July 2020 focuses primarily on providing weather information. Plans are in place for AgWeatherNet to enhance the app by incorporating various crop-specific agricultural decision support modules over the following months and years.
• Currently, the app utilizes station averaging to provide estimates of localized weather conditions. However, AgWeatherNet meteorologists are actively engaged in developing interpolation models aimed at further automating and improving the accuracy of site-specific weather forecasts.
